More than 2,300 companies were nominated or requested to participate in the 2018 Top Workplaces contest, but only the top 150 of those enterprises could be included. Employees across metro Atlanta responded to print and online solicitations that began appearing in September. To determine the top places to work, Energage −a Philadelphia-based human resources consulting company − surveyed 256 metro area companies. Throughout those companies, more than 55,000 employees participated, helping to whittle down the list of the top 150 workplaces, 25 large companies (500 or more employees), 50 midsize companies (150-499 employees) and 75 small companies (149 or fewer employees).
