Atlanta Business Chronicle Announces Firm As Finalist for 2011 Governor’s International Awards, Companies That Further Georgia’s Global Reach
ATLANTA, Georgia — November 22, 2011 — Following the annual Atlanta World Showcase, which brings together companies and organizations from around the world, the Atlanta Business Chronicle held the Governor’s International Awards to highlight companies that are striving to expand Georgia’s global presence. This event, which was held on Oct. 20, honored finalists and winners from six categories.
Insight Sourcing Group was named a finalist in the “New Company of the Year” category based on their recent joint venture with German-based consulting company, Kerkhoff Consulting. In 2010, Insight Sourcing Group partnered with Kerkhoff Consulting to form Insight Sourcing Group Europe GmbH in Dusseldorf, Germany and Kerkhoff Consulting US LLC in Norcross, GA. Through this joint venture, U.S.-based companies can now have direct access to low cost country sourcing across the world and European-based companies have access to sourcing and procurement services for U.S. operations. ISG and Kerkhoff have also established a global knowledge sharing program in which both companies share procurement best practices and global methodologies around strategic sourcing and procurement.
In the past year, ISG’s Atlanta staff has grown by 50%, and this global expansion should enable ISG to grow even more, requiring more Georgia resources.
